This workflow shows the details of step 2b in Workflow for applying the copy threshold option.
- If a mainframe volume or a journal volume for URz is contained in a CLPR for the V-VOL with write response performance degraded, use a different CLPR for each of the following volumes:
- Mainframe volume
- Journal volume for URz
- Other volumes
- It is run in TrueCopy, TrueCopy for Mainframe, Universal Replicator, Universal Replicator for Mainframe, or global-active device.
- If you use Universal Replicator for Mainframe as well as Universal Replicator, make sure to use a different CLPR on the target storage system. The mainframe volume belonging to the CLPR before using a different CLPR in step 1 in this workflow might be used in a Universal Replicator for Mainframe pair, and therefore you must match the settings in case of takeover.
- If the storage system with write response performance degraded is at the primary site, it refers to the secondary storage system. If the storage system with write response performance degraded is at the secondary site, it refers to the primary storage system. In a 3DC configuration, it refers to any other storage systems that configure 3DC excluding a storage system with write response performance degraded.
