Supported function: Using Universal Volume Manager volumes as pool-VOLs.
Not supported functions:
- Increasing the capacity of a V-VOL that is mapped to the Universal Volume Manager. If you try to increase the capacity of a V-VOL with the conventional LDEV operation, the capacity of the V-VOL will not be changed. In this case, remove the mapping between the V-VOL and Universal Volume Manager, increase the capacity of the external volume used as a pool-VOL, and then perform the mapping between the V-VOL and Universal Volume Manager again.
- Setting the data direct mapping attribute on a DRS-VOL.
- Enabling capacity saving on a V-VOL from a pool with Universal Volume Manager pool-VOLs.
