An HBA is identified by its HBA iSCSI name or nickname.

Although the iSCSI target setting operations do not involve data destruction, make sure to back up the data (data that can be accessed from the target port) before changing the iSCSI target.

If you want to change the iSCSI target, verify that the following conditions are met:

  • The I/O operations are not in progress on the host.
  • The host-reserved (mounted) status is not applied.
Note: If you want to remove a host reservation on an LU that is used in a global-active device pair, make sure to remove the host reservations on both the P-VOL and the S-VOL. If you remove only one host reservation, a Reserve Conflict might occur when the host is replaced.
