General requirements and restrictions:
- You can establish a pair relationship between any two 3390 volumes. When you use different 3390 emulation types for the S-VOL and T-VOL (for example, a 3390-3 S-VOL paired with a 3390-9 T-VOL), the specified extent must be within the range of the user cylinders in each volume.
- For FlashCopy® SE, you can specify only 3390-A (TSE-VOL) as the target volume.
- To use the Preserve Mirror FlashCopy® (PMFC) function, you must install the license of the applicable program products in the storage systems at each site, including the primary, secondary, and remote sites.
- For FlashCopy® Manager, use the default setting (blank) for Use the FlashCopy Identifier in the FlashCopy Job Creation panel. The setting is not valid even if you specify any value.
