The IBM® FlashCopy® function enables you to make point-in-time, full-volume copies of data that are immediately available for read or write access. Access to these copies of the data on the source volume is through reading the data from the target volume.
The Compatible FlashCopy® software on the storage system provides functional compatibility with both FlashCopy® V2 and FlashCopy® SE host functions.
Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform One Block 85 supports the following functions for FlashCopy® operations:
- IBM® GDPS®
- IBM® Copy Services Manager z/OS® FlashCopy® Manager
- PPRC TSO, DFSMSdss, ICKDSF, and ANTIRQST Macro host commands
