IBM Db2® Cloning Tool for z/OS® is used to clone a Db2® subsystem or
a Db2® table space, and to create volume copies at a volume
level by using Compatible FlashCopy® V2. For more information about the tool, see the IBM® documentation.
If a target volume of the copy operation with Compatible FlashCopy® V2 applies to any volume described in the following
table, performing the volume copy operation with IBM Db2® Cloning Tool
for z/OS® displays a message CKZ02149W, and then the copy processing
cannot be run. For more information about the message CKZ02149W, see the IBM® documentation. Take the following action, and then retry the volume copy operation
with IBM Db2® Cloning Tool for z/OS®.
| Volume type and status |
Cause and action |
| P-VOL of an
SIz pair using
ATTIME Suspend function (online) |
- Cause
- A P-VOL of an SIz pair cannot be used as a target volume of the copy with Compatible FlashCopy® V2. For details, see Using Compatible FlashCopy® with ShadowImage for Mainframe.
- Action
- Delete the SIz pair.
|
| P-VOL of a TCz
pair with Host I/O Time Stamp Transfer enabled, and whose pair
status is Pending or Duplex |
- Cause
- A P-VOL of a TCz pair in the specified status cannot be used as a target volume
when IBM Db2® Cloning Tool for z/OS® is used. (It is enabled by using FlashCopy to
PPRC Primary Volume function regardless of whether Host
I/O Time Stamp Transfer is enabled or disabled if IBM Db2® Cloning Tool for z/OS® is not used.)
- Action
- Delete the TCz pair. Alternatively, delete the TCz pair, disable
Host I/O Time Stamp Transfer, and then retry pair
creation.
Business Continuity Manager or PPRC/GDPS disable
Host I/O Time Stamp Transfer with the following
settings applied:
- Business Continuity Manager: Set N for
TIMESTAMP.
- PPRC/GDPS host command: Disable the function switch #36.
|
| P-VOL of a URz pair whose Timer Type is SYSTEM or NONE, and
whose pair status is Pending or Duplex |
- Cause
- A P-VOL of a URz pair in
the specified status cannot be used as a target volume when IBM Db2® Cloning Tool for z/OS®
is used. (It is enabled by using FlashCopy to URz
Primary Volume function if IBM Db2® Cloning Tool for z/OS® is not
used.)
- Action
- Delete the URz pair. Alternatively, suspend the URz pair.
If the URz pair is suspended, resynchronize the URz pair
after the copy operation with Compatible FlashCopy® V2 is complete. The full differential
data is copied with FlashCopy to URz
Primary Volume function.
