A user account is disabled when the password expires. A user account is also disabled when the number of failed login attempts exceeds the specified maximum number of failed login attempts and the lockout mode option is set to Disable Account. In addition, the administrator can disable user accounts.

Use the following procedure to enable a disabled user account.

  • You must have the Security Administrator (View & Modify) role to perform this task.
  1. Log in to the maintenance utility.
  2. Select Administration > User Administration.
  3. In the User Groups list, select the user group containing the user whose account is disabled.
  4. In the Users tab, select the user account that is disabled, and then click Edit.
  5. In the Edit User dialog box, select Enable for Account Status.
  6. If the password has expired, enter the new password in the New Password and Re-enter Password fields.
Note: If the password has expired and you do not enter a new password, the password will expire again at 00:00 hours on the day after the account was enabled.
  7. Confirm the settings, and then click Finish.
  8. When the confirmation window appears, confirm the settings and then click Apply.
  9. When the completion message appears, click Close.
