You can check for problems in the storage system. If a problem occurs in a pool, snapshot, or remote protection, take action according to the displayed message.

You must have the Support Personnel (User) role.

  1. In the navigation bar, click Error or Warning.

If there is no problem, Normal displays.

  2. Review any message displayed to identify pools or snapshots where a problem has occurred, and then take appropriate action.
    Note:
    • Alerts displayed in Health Status might include pools for mainframe systems. If you click the link display for a pool designated for a mainframe system, an error occurs and you cannot see details. To check the status of a pool designated for mainframe systems, select Mainframe Storage > Pools from the navigation tree.
    • When more than 500 alerts occur, you are redirected to the Global-Active Device Consistency Groups list page. From there, navigate to the Global-Active Device Consistency Groups details page to view the GAD pairs with failures and the failure details.

VSP One Block Administrator cannot display GAD pairs that do not belong to a consistency group. If a failure occurs on a GAD pair outside a consistency group, you must use another management tool to check its details.

If the number of failed GAD pairs exceeds 500, you can view their details in VSP One Block Administrator as long as the pairs belong to a consistency group.
