By checking the result of data reduction, you can check the overall effectiveness of the storage system.
You must be assigned the Storage Administrator (View Only) role.
- Data reduction for the entire storage system: View the Data Reduction report on the dashboard.
Displays the reduction in stored data volume achieved by using the storage system's capacity saving feature (deduplication and compression).
- Data reduction for each pool:
- From the navigation tree, select .
From the Pools page, you can compare the data reduction ratios, compare the reducible used capacities, and the unreducible used capacities of different pools.
- If a pool has a lower than expected compression ratio, click the pool name to view the details page.
From the details page, you can view the reduction in stored data volume achieved by using the capacity saving feature (deduplication and compression), reducible used capacity, and unreducible used capacity.
