You can perform a connection test for a key management server used for data encryption. Perform a connection test to make sure that the storage system and the key management server can communicate properly (for example, after changing the key management server settings).

You must have the Security Administrator (View & Modify) role.

  1. Navigate to the key management server settings based on the type of encryption:
    • Data at Rest Encryption: From the navigation tree, select Settings > Data at Rest Encryption > Key Management Server Settings.
    • Data in Flight Encryption: From the navigation tree, select Settings > Data Inflight Encryption > Key Management Server Settings.
  2. From the inventory of key management servers, select the checkboxes for the target key management servers, and then click Test Connectivity in the action bar.
  3. Make sure that the host name and ID are correct, and click Submit.
