You can modify the configured speed of a mainframe port by using VSP One Block Administrator.
Note: Editing mainframe port speed is typically performed during initial system setup and is not expected to be a frequent operation during normal system use. Only the port speed setting can be changed.
  • You must have the Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role.
  • Identify the mainframe port whose speed you want to modify.
  • The maximum data transfer rate supported by the host HBA or Fibre Channel switch must be 8 Gbps or higher.
  • The channel path must be offline on all hosts connected to the FICON® port whose data transfer rate is being configured.
  • The link between the FICON® port and the host HBA, or between the FICON® port and the switch, must be down.
  1. From the navigation tree, select Mainframe Storage > Ports.
  2. Select a mainframe port from the list.

The Edit Port button is disabled when multiple ports are selected.

  3. Click Edit Port.
  4. In the Edit Port dialog box, select the required Port SpeedPort Speed.
  5. Click Execute.
    Note:
    • You cannot add or remove mainframe ports by using VSP One Block Administrator
