You can unassign aliases from volumes when there is a requirement to manage I/O processes differently.
You must have the Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role.
- From the navigation tree, select .
- On the Base Volume IDs - Select Control Unit Number page, click a CU number.
- On the Base Volumes - (Control Unit Number: CU#) page, click the IDs of the base volume that you want to unassign.
- On the Base Volume - Volume ID # page, select the alias of the volume that you want to unassign.
- On the Unassign Alias Volumes page, click Submit.
