You configure Compatible PAV by assigning aliases to base volumes. With Compatible PAV, multiple I/O processes can occur simultaneously on the logical volume. For more information, see the Hitachi Compatible PAV User Guide.
You must have the Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role.
- From the navigation tree, select .
- On the Base Volume IDs - Select Control Unit Number page, click a CU number (control unit number).
- On the Base Volumes - (Control Unit Number: CU #) page, select a base volume.
- On the Base Volume - Volume ID # page, click Assign Alias Volumes.
- On the Assign Alias Volumes page, click Select.
- On the Free Volumes page, select the free volumes to assign to the base volume that you selected and click OK.
- On the Assign Alias Volumes page, click Submit.
