Global active device (GAD) provides synchronous data replication between storage systems to support high availability and data consistency. This is required when resuming data synchronization after planned maintenance, shutdown, or migration activities.
By suspending and resynchronizing GAD pairs, you can control data mirroring behavior while maintaining volume accessibility according to the operational state of the storage system.
To perform this task, you must have the Storage Administrator (Remote Backup Administration) role.
Note: When selecting multiple GAD pairs, select pairs associated with either primary volumes or secondary
volumes only. Do not suspend or resynchronize pairs associated with both primary and secondary
volumes at the same time.
