Resynchronizing a GAD pair resumes data replication and restores data consistency between the paired volumes after an interruption or a temporary suspension.

  1. From the navigation tree, select Remote Protection > Global-Active Device.
  2. In the Global-Active Device Consistency Groups inventory page, select the consistency group that contains the GAD pair you want to resynchronize.
  3. In the Global-Active Device Consistency Groups details page, select the GAD pair, and then click Resync Global‑Active Device Pair.
  4. In the Resync Global‑Active Device Pair dialog box, enter the following information:
    • For Copy Speed, select the desired performance level for data copy operations between volumes.
      • Faster: Maximizes copy speed.
      • Medium: Balanced setting for copy speed and server I/O performance (Standard).
      • Slow: Prioritizes server I/O while allowing moderate copy speed.
      • Slower: Prioritizes server I/O.

In the Global-Active Device User Guide, these copy speed options are defined as performance levels from 1 to 4 (Faster = 4, Medium = 3, Slow = 2, and Slower = 1).

  5. Click Submit to begin resynchronizing.
