Import a certificate to establish trust between the local and remote storage systems.
Note:
- Registering a certificate permanently enables server certificate verification. After certificate verification is enabled, it cannot be disabled.
- Do not perform certificate import and delete operations concurrently. Running multiple certificate operations at the same time causes errors.
Warning:
- When you enable certificate verification for the first time, REST API SSL communications that previously ran without certificate verification will no longer work. For details about SSL requirements, see the REST API Reference Guide.
- Make sure that the server certificate is installed on the local storage system before you import a remote storage system certificate. For details on installing the server certificate, see the System Administrator Guide.
- Obtain the root certificate of the server installed on the remote SVP, GUM, or ESM.
- You must have the Security Administrator (View/Edit) role.
- From the navigation tree, select tab.
- Click Import Remote Storage System Certificate.
- Enter a unique certificate name.
- Upload the certificate file.
- Click Submit.
