Validate the new time travel agent by testing its task routing, tool usage, error handling, and the quality of its final time‑based results.
- From the main menu bar, select the AI Agents tab.
- Select the agent to validate.
- Click Chat to launch a chat session.
- Ask a question about the data in the knowledge base collection. By default, the Time Travel option is disabled, so questions will query the most recent indexed knowledge base collection documents.
- Enable the Time Travel option using the slide in the chat box.
- Set a date and time that is prior to now, and then ask another question.
Only documents and document versions that existed in the index before this time will be used to answer the question.
- Verify the following:
- Responses follow the MCP prompt tone and behavior.
- Responses use knowledge from the selected past date.
- Responses cite underlying documents from the correct historical snapshot.
- The agent uses the correct MCP servers and configured knowledge bases.
- If the responses do not look correct or complete:
- Confirm that the knowledge base is indexed by opening the Knowledge Base page and checking for a green checkmark.
- Verify that the MCP server configuration is correct.
- Adjust prompts or enable additional tools if the agent is missing information.
