Validating the RAG MCP Server

Use the Playground to verify that the RAG MCP Server responds correctly to queries and returns the expected response.

  1. On the iQ Studio home page, go to Tools and select MCP Servers.
  2. Select RAG MCP Server, and then click Open Playground.
  3. If you click Open Playground, you will be on the Playground page, in the Tools pane, select getContext.


  4. In the MCP Configurations pane, in the Collections list, select a knowledge base that you created earlier.
  5. In the User Question field, enter a question to test the server. For example: What is MCP?
  6. Click Run.
  7. Review the Results pane to confirm that the RAG MCP Server returns the expected response.
