Hitachi iQ Studio is an enterprise AI development and deployment platform designed to help organizations build, refine, and operationalize both general‑purpose and industry‑specific AI solutions at scale.

  • Operator: Manages the lifecycle of product components.
  • Application services: Delivered through Helm charts and container images.
  • Supporting components: May include an internal container registry for storing product images and charts.


Before installing Hitachi iQ Studio, your environment must meet these prerequisites:
  • System requirements: Supported OS, Kubernetes version, runtime, storage drivers.
  • Operational requirements: Permissions, cluster‑admin access, and validated cluster configuration.
  • Environment requirements: Communication encryption, registry access, load‑balancing, DNS, and GPU/MIG readiness.
  • Resource requirements: CPU, memory, GPU, and storage capacity.

The system also requires supporting infrastructure to provide external access to services. For on‑premises deployments, use a load‑balancing solution such as MetalLB (an open‑source load balancer for bare‑metal clusters), F5 load‑balancing appliances, VMware NSX‑T load‑balancing services, or a cloud‑based load balancer. These solutions assign IP addresses from a configured subnet to Kubernetes LoadBalancer services.
