If you are unsure whether to remove Disaster Recovery Solution, contact technical support for assistance.

This procedure removes only the Disaster Recovery Solution software. It does not unconfigure the stretch cluster, remove any existing pool provisioning or quorum, or destroy any data.

A primary use case for Disaster Recovery Solution is during installation failures. If a mistake was made during the installation, you can often correct the mistake and restart the installation, and the installation will continue where it left off. However, if this process fails, it might be necessary to remove Disaster Recovery Solution before attempting the installation again.

If you do not clean the storage prior to removing Disaster Recovery Solution, only the Disaster Recovery Solution software package is removed and not the iSCSI quorum service. If you clean the storage first, both the Disaster Recovery Solution softare package and the quorum are removed.

  1. Go to Support > Clean.
  2. On the Support pane, click Remove from the Actions menu.
  3. Click Remove HDRS to confirm.
