Create the control, internode, and compute virtual private clouds (VPCs). A control network is a network that connects the storage nodes for sending management commands and communicating with external services such as SNMP managers and NTP servers and for hosting the VSP One SDS Block Administrator GUI. The internode network is a network between storage nodes used for communication of user data and management information between storage nodes, utilizing only IPv4 addresses. The compute network is a network between the compute nodes and the storage nodes that is used for input and output of user data.

Use VNetConfiguration templates. MTU and IPv6 ULA selections here are immutable for the cluster.

  1. Configure backend.auto.tfvars.
    bucket = "my-sdsc-tfstate-bucket"
    prefix = "vpc/prod1"
  2. Set terraform.tfvars.
    namePrefix = "sdsb-prod"
    controlNetworkMtu = 8896
    internodeNetworkMtu = 8896
    computeNetworkMtu = 8896
    configureULAInternalIpv6Range = true
    ulaInternalIpv6Range = ""
    project = "my-project-id"
  3. Deploy Terraform.
    terraform init -backend-config="backend.auto.tfvars"
    terraform apply -auto-approve
