Configuring a storage cluster

One of the following conditions occurred during the procedure described in Configuring a storage cluster in the VSP One SDS Cloud for AWS Setup and Configuration.

  • The created stack has an error status.
  • After 60 minutes from the start of stack creation, the information on the Output tab of the root stack does not show an item with the key "InstallationStatus."
  • After 180 minutes from the start of stack creation, the "InstallationStatus" in the information on the Output tab of the root stack is still "InProgress."
  • The "InstallationStatus" in the information on the Output tab of the root stack is "Failed."

Action to be taken for a failure that occurred when configuring a storage cluster (Cloud for AWS)

Drives were not recognized after storage cluster configuration in the setup procedure.

Starting and stopping the storage cluster

A failure occurred when starting and stopping the storage cluster.

Adding storage nodes

  • A job resulted in an error. (Job state has become "failed".)

Replacing storage nodes

The following occurred during storage node replacement.

  • A job resulted in an error. (Job state has become "failed".)

Adding drives

The added drives could not be recognized.

Authenticating a user

User authentication did not succeed and either of the following occurred.

  • Could not log in to the VSP One SDS Block Administrator, and an error message was displayed.

  • HTTP status code 401 or 403 was returned when a REST API/CLI command was run.

  • When running the REST API/CLI, a solution indicating that the authentication error is to be handled according to the VSP One SDS Block and SDS Cloud Troubleshooting Reference was displayed.

  • An initial login or password change because of expiration was unsuccessful with VSP One SDS Block Administrator, and then an error message was displayed.

  • Your own password could not be changed with the REST API/CLI, and then an error message was displayed.

Action to be taken for a user authentication error

Deleting snapshot volumes

The following occurred when deleting snapshot volumes.

  • Jobs resulted in an error. (The job state is "failed.")

Collecting VSP One SDS Block dump log files

One of the following occurred when collecting dump log files for VSP One SDS Block:

  • An error message was displayed when running REST API or CLI for dump log file collection.

  • The creation of the dump log file fails. (The status of REST API or CLI for verifying the dump log file creation status is "Failed.")

  • Dump log file download failed.
