This procedure allows the compute node to recognize whether the ANA is enabled (specified on the storage side).

No procedure is available for allowing the compute node to recognize ANA priority change set on the storage side. ANA priority changes are recognized automatically.

  1. Enable Native NVMe Multipath.

To do this, see the document for your distribution.

  2. Change the following items for Native NVMe Multipath.

See the document for your distribution to change the items.

    Item Set value
    iopolicy round-robin
    ctrl_loss_tmo -1
  3. You can confirm the ANA priority set on the storage side by running the following command.
    # nvme list-subsys /dev/<device-name>

Priority paths and non-priority paths are indicated as follows:

    • Priority path: optimized

    • Non-priority path: non-optimized

VSP One SDS Block does not support a configuration that contains both ANA devices and non-ANA devices.
