Edit the following configuration file required for setting up VSP One SDS Block.

  • VSSB configuration file (SystemConfigurationFile.csv)

The VSSB configuration file edited with this procedure will be used in the procedures described in Setting up each storage node and Configuring a storage cluster.

  1. Obtain the configuration files.

    • To obtain the configuration files from the Hitachi website:

      From the Hitachi website, download the following file to the controller node:

      • Configuration file (.zip)

        This is a file for setting up VSP One SDS Block.

        The file name is hsds-system-configuration-files-<version>-<number>.zip.

        Example: hsds-system-configuration-files-01110140-0000.zip

  2. Unzip the downloaded file, use an editor to open the VSSB configuration file obtained in the controller node, and then set values for items.

    For details about the format of the VSSB configuration file, see VSSB configuration file format. When the values are set for the items, editing of the configuration file is complete.

    CAUTION:

    Do not change the name of the VSSB configuration file (SystemConfigurationFile.csv). Changing the VSSB configuration file name renders storage cluster configuration unsuccessful.
