Controller node is a node for building and managing VSP One SDS Block. A terminal that meets the Controller node requirements is required to perform the following operations.
-
REST API operation
-
CLI operation
-
VSP One SDS Block Administrator operation
-
BMC remote console operation (BMC Web interface)
In the controller node, use a console where you can run commands to use REST APIs and CLI. If the OS of your controller node is Windows, use command prompts. If the OS is Linux, use the Linux terminal. For more information, see the VSP One SDS Block and SDS Cloud REST API Reference and the VSP One SDS Block and SDS Cloud CLI Reference.
VSP One SDS Block Administrator is a software product that lets you easily verify the status and total configuration of VSP One SDS Block and information about individual resources. VSP One SDS Block Administrator is easy to navigate and offers fast response times. You can also use the VSP One SDS Block Administrator to register compute nodes and create volumes.
The BMC remote console (BMC web interface) is used for setup of VSP One SDS Block and for addition or replacement of storage nodes. For details about how to use the BMC remote console (BMC web interface), see the server vendor documentation.
