Editing spare node information (Bare metal)

Edit information about the intended Spare node as follows.

  • Required role: Service
  • The status of all storage nodes must be "Ready."
  1. Edit the spare node in the Spare Nodes list tab (in the Storage Nodes window) or Spare Node detailed information window by either of the following means.
    • In the Spare Nodes list tab in the Storage Nodes window, select the edit-target spare node (one node), and then click the preceding icon.
    • In the Spare Node detailed information window for the edit-target spare node, click the preceding icon.

    The following dialog appears.

  2. You can edit the following parameters:
    • FAULT DOMAIN: Name of the fault domain to which the spare node belongs
    • CONTROL PORT IP ADDRESS: IP address (IPv4) of a control port
    • SETUP USER PASSWORD: Password of the setup user
    • BMC NAME: Host name or IP address (IPv4) of the BMC
    • BMC USER: Username for BMC connection
    • BMC PASSWORD: Password for BMC connection
  3. Click Submit.
  4. When the following "Completed" message is displayed, processing is completed.
    • Successfully edited spare node.
    Note:

    To verify that the edited BMC information of the spare node is correct, perform the procedure described in Verifying spare node function settings (Bare metal) in the VSP One SDS Block and SDS Cloud System Administration.
