Create remote path group as follows.

Note:

For a configuration in which communication between ports is not possible (such as when each compute port belongs to a different subnet), performing the following procedure might create remote paths that cannot communicate.

In such a case, see the VSP One SDS Block and SDS Cloud Universal Replicator to create remote path groups.

  • Required role: RemoteCopy
  1. Open the Remote Path Groups window or Storage Controllers detailed information window, and click either of the following icons.

    The following dialog appears.

  2. Enter each of the following parameters:
    • MODEL: ID indicating the remote storage system model

    • SERIAL NUMBER: Serial number of the remote storage system

    • PATH GROUP ID: Remote path group ID

    • STORAGE NODE NAME (STORAGE CONTROLLER ID): Storage node name (Storage controller ID)

Selecting a storage node name displays the compute port name in LOCAL PORT@STORAGE NODE NAME. The displayed port is the compute port linked to the storage node to which the selected storage controller belongs. This is displayed in the format of "compute-port name (local-port number)@storage-node name."

    • REMOTE PORT: Port number of the remote storage system (CLx-y format)

    • REMOTE IP ADDRESS: IP address of the remote storage system

    • REMOTE TCP PORT: TCP port number of the remote storage system

    • RIO TIMEOUT: Timeout setting value for the RIO (remote IO) between the local storage system and remote storage system (unit: seconds)

  3. Click Submit.
  4. When the following "Completed" message is displayed, processing is completed.
    • Successfully created remote path group.
