Upgrading the VSP One File management software

You can upgrade the VSP One File management software by uploading a release file.

  • Download the release file (smu-install-<version>.tar.gz) from the Hitachi Vantara Support Website.
  • Back up the VSP One File management software configuration and download the backup file to a safe location. See Backing up the VSP One File management software configuration.
  • Take a snapshot of the virtual machine on which the VSP One File management software is running.
  • Ensure that the new VSP One File management software version supports the firmware version of the nodes in your environment. For the supported firmware versions for the managed software release, see the release notes.
  1. Navigate to Configuration > Upgrade.
  2. In the Upgrade pane, upload the latest release file, and then click Upgrade.
  3. Click Upgrade to confirm.
    Note: Make sure that you allow the upgrade without interruption. The upgrade might take more than an hour.
When the upgrade is complete, refresh the page and accept the self-signed certificate to open the VSP One File management software login page.
