The VSP One File management software uses Keycloak to manage users and user access.
Keycloak includes the following preconfigured users that you use to access and configure the management software for the first time:
- admin
- This user can access and perform all functions in File Administrator and System Administrator.
- secadmin
- This user can access and perform all functions in Keycloak, including adding users, and System Administrator. To access Keycloak from the VSP One File management software for the first time, you must log on as the secadmin user.
A third preconfigured user called secadminiro provides read-only acces to Keycloak and System Administrator.
When you log on to the management software for the first time as a preconfigured user, enter the password nasadmin, and then change the password when prompted.
You can continue to use the preconfigured users after the initial setup and you can add other users either locally in Keycloak or by connecting Keycloak to an LDAP provider.
You might want to enter users locally if you want to add only a few users or you are adding users that are not managed by an LDAP provider.
If you are adding a large number of users, connecting with an LDAP provider is helpful for integrating with an existing LDAP directory that stores user and credentials. You can configure Keycloak to validate credentials from the LDAP directory and pull in identity information.
