Keycloak is used to manage users and their access to the VSP One File management software. Keycloak is an OAuth2-compliant identity and access management software that provides a user management interface and a wide-range of login tools and security features.
To access Keycloak from the VSP One File management software, you must log on to the software as a user assigned to the security_admin role. When you log on to the management software as a user assigned to this role, a link to Keycloak appears on the Welcome page.
The Keycloak environment that is available from the management software contains a preconfigured realm, roles, and groups. Use these preconfigured entities to manage users.
If you are configuring Keycloak for use with the management software for the first time, complete the following tasks:
- Review Keycloak concepts and default users, groups, and roles to learn about the relationship of realms, roles, groups, and users in Keycloak, and to view the preconfigured roles, groups, and users for the VSP One File management software.
- Add an email address to the security administrator user account.
- Configure the VSP One File management software SMTP settings.
- Configure multifactor authentication for the security administrator user account.
- Configure users.
