File Administrator automatically performs periodic backups of the configuration settings for all managed servers and cluster nodes. You can also perform an on-demand manual backup of the server or cluster configuration.
Backups save essential settings, including network configurations, SMB and NFS shares, FTP users, iSCSI definitions, and snapshot rules.
Important: Backups do not include data stored on the file system.
Automatic backup jobs are run every hour in the background, ensuring no disruption to daily activities. These hourly backups are consolidated into a single daily backup at midnight, preserving the most recent backup from the past 24 hour. Older backups are deleted every 14 days to optimize storage space.
