You can restore configuration settings using a backup file stored locally or by selecting a backup from the Backup History section.
Review the following considerations before restoring the
backup:
- Make sure all EVS instances are disabled before initiating the restoration
process.
Disabling all EVS instances makes sure the restoration completes successfully. The restoration procedure deletes existing EVS instances and recreates them using data from the backup file. If an EVS instance is active during restoration and the backup also contains an instance with the same name, the restoration process might fail.
- You might have to manually recreate CIFS and NFS shares added after the last backup.
- Restored configurations might contain outdated passwords.
- Restoring overwrites the current configuration across all server nodes. Make sure to back up any important data before starting the restore process.
- As a best practice, choose the most recent backup from the same server to restore.

In the Backup and Restore Configuration specify whether
you want to restore from the backup file listed in the Backup History section or
local backup file.
- To restore from the backup file listed in the Backup History section, select the backup that you want to restore, click Restore, and then confirm the action in the dialog box by clicking Restore again.
- To restore from the backup life saved locally, click Restore From Local File. In the Restore From Local File pane, drag and drop the file or click to upload the file.
