- In the Add iSCSI Initiator dialog box, enter the initiator name to identify the initiator with a globally unique name and the initiator secret (password) to secure the initiator from unauthorized access.
The secret should be between 12 to 16 characters in length.Note: If the secret is less than 12 characters and more than 16 characters in length, the initiators might not establish a successful connection.
