The Welcome page opens when you log in to the VSP One File management software. The applications that appear on the Welcome page depend on your user role. To access File Administrator, you must log in as a user assigned to the admin role.
You can also access the System Administrator application to complete installation and setup tasks as described in the Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform One File Installation and Configuration Guide.
The Welcome page includes links to Ops Center (log on credentials are required), the VSP One File documentation and community forum, and product support
Hitachi Disaster Recovery Solution
Hitachi Disaster Recovery Solution is an optional application that simplifies the deployment and maintenance of 2-node and 4-node stretched clusters distributed across two geographically separate sites and storage arrays. The arrays are synchronized using Global Active Directory (GAD) technology, which ensures that data is mirrored in real time between the sites. Because server memory and stored data are mirrored between the two arrays, GAD provides a zero Recovery Point Objective (RPO) if a single component or complete site fails.
Disaster Recovery Solution requires that a GAD Enhanced for NAS (GEfN) license is installed on a VSP One File managed server. If a license is detected and Hitachi Disaster Recovery Solution is not installed, a notification appears on the Welcome. To install the application, click Upload Package in the notification and upload the installation package file hdrs-install.tar.gz. This file is available from the Hitachi Vantara Support website.
When installation and setup is complete, Hitachi Disaster Recovery Solution appears on the Welcome page.
