The following table lists and describes the pair volume status names and indicates whether the volumes accept read/write operations. When checking the pair status, use the raidcom get remote_copy_pair command to display the latest information. The P-VOL access and S-VOL access columns in the following table indicate whether the volumes accept read/write.

The initial copy operation for this pair is in progress. The pair is not yet synchronized.

PSUS

The pair has been suspended by the user, and update to the S-VOL is stopped. This status is only for the P-VOL. While the pair is split, the storage system keeps track of updates to the P-VOL in the differential bitmaps.

SSUS

CCI SSUS status indicates that although the paired status is retained, the user split the pair and update to the S-VOL is stopped. This status is only for the S-VOL. If the option for permitting updates to the S-VOL is specified when the pair is split, the storage system keeps track of updates to the S-VOL in the differential bitmaps.

Read Only if Secondary Volume Write option is disabled.

Read/Write if Secondary Volume Write option is enabled.

PSUE

CCI PSUE indicates that although the paired status is retained, updates to the S-VOL is stopped due to an error status. CCI PSUE is PSUS (SSUS) caused by an internal error.
