Use the following procedure to recover the pinned track and secure the entire data integrity of the pair at the same time:
- Connect to the storage system of the primary site for a GAD pair that contains the pinned track volume, and then select a correct CU.
- Remove the GAD pair that contains the pinned track volume.
- Perform a normal procedure for recovering data from the pinned track. Use the pinned track recovery procedure of the OS that is being used, or contact customer support.
- Use the paircreate command to re-create the GAD pair. Do not specify the -nocopy option of the command.
