Use the volumes for which LU paths or namespaces for NVMe-oF have been set to create a GAD pair. You can add LU paths or namespaces for NVMe-oF to or delete them from GAD pair volumes. However, you cannot delete the last LU path because at least one LU path must be set for GAD pair volumes.

A volume for which no LU path or namespace for NVMe-oF has been set cannot be used as a GAD pair volume.

CAUTION:
When you remove the path that is defined on an LDEV with the GAD reserve attribute, the path removal might fail if the number of LDEVs whose path is to be removed is too large.

When a port has a path defined for an LDEV with the GAD reserve attribute and you need to configure the port (delete a host group, set a command device, or change the host mode, topology, AL-PL, or transfer speed), the operation might fail if you configure more than one port at a time. For ports that have a path defined on an LDEV with the GAD reserve attribute, perform these operations on one port at a time.
