A single quorum disk can be shared by multiple consistency groups.
When creating GAD pairs to be registered to different consistency groups, you can specify the same quorum disk ID. When no volume is set for the quorum disk, the relationship is the same. In this case, no physical volume for the quorum disk exists, but the ID for the quorum disk is assigned.
You can register a pair in a consistency group when creating or resynchronizing a GAD pair. However, a pair whose Quorum Disk ID is different from the pair in the target consistency group cannot be registered.
Pairs registered to the same consistency group must use the same quorum disk. When creating pairs in a single consistency group, you cannot specify multiple quorum disk IDs.
