When using GAD pairs, you should know how to properly power on the storage system at the primary site and the external storage system for quorum disks.
- Power on the storage system at the primary site and the external storage system.

Confirm that the primary and secondary storage systems and the external storage system for the quorum disks do not have any blocked parts.
If any parts are blocked, recover them.
- Check for SIMs about path blockage, and complete the SIMs.

On the primary and secondary storage systems, establish connections to the quorum disks.

Confirm that the external storage system is connected correctly.

On the primary and secondary storage systems, verify that the connections to the quorum disks have been established.
raidcom get external_grp -external_grp_id 1-2 -IH1

Confirm that external volumes of the primary and secondary storage systems are recognized as quorum disks.
raidcom get ldev -ldev_id 0x8888 -IH1
- Check for SIMs about quorum disk blockade at the primary and secondary sites, and complete the SIMs.

Confirm that the pair status of the P-VOLs of the
GAD pairs is PSUS(Block) and that the pair status of the S-VOLs is SSWS(Local).
pairdisplay -g oraHA -fcxe -IH1

Resynchronize
GAD pairs from the secondary storage system by reversing the primary and secondary volumes (swap resync).
pairresync -g oraHA -swaps -IH1

Confirm that the pair status of the P-VOLs and S-VOLs of the
GAD pairs has changed to PAIR (Mirror (RL)).
pairdisplay -g oraHA -fcxe -IH1
- Using the multi-path software, resume I/O from the servers to the storage system at the primary site.
- If necessary, reverse the primary and secondary volumes.
