The following describe the procedures for turning off the power of the storage systems at the target UR primary site.
Turn off the power.
The procedures for turning off the power depend on the progress of the
migration procedures.
- Powering off "during migration"
- On the storage system at the primary site, suspend the GAD pair by specifying the P-VOL.
- On the storage system at the target UR primary site, suspend the UR pair by specifying the P-VOL.
- Confirm that the pair status of each pair has changed as shown in
the following table.
Pair type Pair status P-VOL S-VOL GAD pair PSUS(Local) SSUS(Block) Source UR pair PAIR PAIR Target UR pair* PSUS SSUS * UR pair is configured between the target sites. - Power off the storage system at the target UR primary site.
- Powering off "after migration is complete"
- Stop I/Os from the servers to the storage systems at the source UR primary site and the target UR primary site.
- On the storage system at the target UR primary site, suspend (swap suspend) the GAD pair by specifying the S-VOL.
- On the storage system at the target UR secondary site, suspend (swap suspend) the UR pair by specifying the S-VOL.
- Confirm that the pair status of each pair has changed as shown in
the following table.
Pair type Pair status P-VOL S-VOL GAD pair PSUS(Block) SSWS(Local) Source UR pair PAIR PAIR Target UR pair PSUS SSWS - Resume I/O from servers to the storage system at the target UR secondary site.
- On the storage system at the source UR primary site, delete the UR pair by specifying the P-VOL.
- Delete the GAD pair by specifying the S-VOL from the target
UR primary
site.
