Recovery procedures from a source UR P-VOL failure that occurs before deleting a source UR pair "after migration is complete"

Notes:
  1. The pair status when a pair that uses the volumes on which a failure occurred accepts the I/Os from the servers. The other pair statuses are the same as those before the failure.
  2. The pair status when a pair that uses the volumes on which a failure occurred accepts the I/Os from the servers. If the error level of the UR pair is set to Mirror, all UR pairs belonging to the mirror are in this pair status.

You must remove the source UR system environment, and then perform the recovery operations because the system environmental migration for the UR remote copy function is complete.

  1. Specify the S-VOL, and then suspend (swap suspend) the GAD pair that uses the volumes that are not the failed volume. 
    pairsplit -g oraHA00 -RS -IH3
  2. Delete the source UR pair. 
    pairsplit -g oraUR00 -S -IH1
  3. Specify the GAD pair S-VOL whose virtual LDEV IDs are set, and then delete the GAD pair. 
    pairsplit -g oraHA00 -R -IH3
  4. Remove the P-VOL failure at the source UR primary site, and then recover the P-VOL (Format the P-VOL if the formatting is required for the recovery).
