Use the following procedure to recover from a system down failure of the storage system at the source UR secondary site.

  1. If a failure occurred temporarily at the source UR secondary site, turn on the power of the storage system at the source secondary site, and then remove the cause of the failure.
The pair status for the P-VOL and S-VOL of the different pairs will be as follows:
    • For the source GAD pair: PAIR for both P-VOL and S-VOL
    • For the source UR pair: PSUE for both P-VOL and S-VOL
    • For the temporary GAD pair for migration: COPY for both P-VOL and S-VOL

  2. Resynchronize the source UR pair.
    Command example:
    pairresync -g UR00 -IH01

  3. Verify that the pair status of the source UR pair becomes PAIR.
After write I/Os from the host continue for about two minutes, the pair status of the source UR delta resync pair also changes to PSUS.

Note: For VSP One B85, the status of the target UR delta resync P-VOL in the figure is PSUE.
  4. Continue the migration procedure.
