You move operations by starting to issue I/O from the server, connected to the target GAD primary and secondary sites, to the P-VOL and S-VOL at the target GAD pair.

  1. Stop I/Os to the S-VOL of the source GAD pair.

  2. Suspend the source GAD pair.
    Command example:
    pairsplit -g HA00 -IH01

  3. Verify that the pair status of the temporary GAD pair used for migration becomes PAIR.
  4. Start access from the host to the P-VOL of the target GAD pair and stop access from the host to the P-VOL of the source GAD pair.

  5. Swap suspend the temporary GAD pair used for migration.
    Command example:
    pairsplit -g HA20 -RS -IH11

  6. Verify that the pair status of the target GAD pair becomes PAIR and that the pair status of the target UR pair becomes PAIR.
After the pair status of both pairs becomes PAIR, the pair status of the target UR delta resync pair becomes PSUS.

  7. Start access from the host to the S-VOL of the target GAD pair.
