Using the S-VOL of the target GAD pair as the P-VOL of the target UR delta resync pair, create the UR delta resync pair. For a detailed description of the steps used to create the target UR delta resync pair, see Creating the UR delta resync pairs.



  1. Create a CCI configuration definition file to operate the storage system at the UR secondary site, and then start the CCI instance.
  2. To connect the storage system at the target GAD secondary site and the storage system at the target UR secondary site, add a remote connection between these two storage systems.
  3. Create a journal on the storage system at the target GAD secondary site.
  4. Create the S-VOL of the UR pair and a journal on the storage system at the target UR secondary site.
  5. Stop the CCI instance on the server that connects to the storage system at the target GAD secondary site.
  6. Add information of the UR delta resync pair to the configuration definition file for the CCI instance you stopped. After editing the configuration definition file, start CCI.
  7. Create the target UR delta resync pair.
    Command example:
    paircreate -g UR11 -f async -vl -nocsus -jp 11 -js 12 -IH12
  8. Verify that the pair status is PSUE.
