For a detailed description of the steps used to create a GAD pair, see Workflow for creating a GAD
environment.
-
Configure the target GAD secondary site by using the storage system at the secondary
site of the temporary GAD pair used for migration as the storage system at the target
GAD
primary site.
-
Stop the CCI instance on the server that is connecting to the storage
system at the primary site.
-
Add the information of the target GAD pair to the configuration definition file for the
CCI
instance you stopped.
-
Start the CCI
instance.
-
Create a GAD
pair by specifying the volume used as the S-VOL of the temporary GAD pair used for
migration as the P-VOL of the target GAD pair.
The pair status of this target GAD pair does
not change to PAIR and remains COPY.
