The storage system at the secondary site of the temporary GAD pair used for
migration will be the storage system at the target GAD primary site. For a
detailed description of the steps used to create a GAD pair, see Workflow for creating a GAD
environment. You do not need to set a volume for the quorum disk for the
temporary GAD pair
used for migration.
The source GAD pair and source UR pair must be in the PAIR status or
must be suspended by specifying the P-VOL.
-
Configure the secondary site of the temporary GAD pair used for
migration by using the storage system at the source GAD primary site as
the storage system at the primary site of the temporary GAD pair used for
migration.
-
Stop the CCI instance that is connecting to the source GAD primary
site.
-
Write in the configuration definition file the information of the P-VOL of the
temporary GAD
pair used for migration.
-
Start the CCI
instance.
-
Create a GAD
pair by specifying the volume used for the P-VOL of the source GAD pair as the
P-VOL of the temporary GAD pair used for migration.
The pair status of this temporary GAD pair does not change to PAIR and remains
COPY.
