The planned outage of the primary storage systems at the data migration source must be performed before performing the data migration or after data migration is complete. The planned outage of the primary storage systems at the data migration target must be performed after data migration is complete, or after the temporary GAD pair for data migration and the target GAD pair are suspended by specifying the P-VOL.
If you perform the planned outage of the other storage systems during data migration, perform the procedures described in Chapter 11: Planned outage of global-active device storage systems.
