After the source GAD pair is suspended by specifying the P-VOL and the temporary GAD pair is migrated to the PAIR status, suspend the temporary GAD pair by specifying the S-VOL. If the temporary GAD pair has been suspended by specifying the S-VOL, skip this operation.

If the temporary GAD pair is suspended by specifying the S-VOL, the P-VOL of the temporary GAD pair that is the P-VOL of the source GAD pair cannot be accessed from the host. Before suspending the temporary GAD pair, take the host path to the P-VOL shared by the temporary GAD pair and the source GAD pair offline to prevent the host from issuing an error.

System availability is identical to the status in which the GAD pair is suspended after the temporary GAD pair is suspended by specifying the S-VOL until the target GAD pair is migrated from the COPY to PAIR status. To shorten this time, suspend the temporary GAD pair while the synchronization rate of the temporary GAD pair is high, such as the time when the I/O rate is low.

The temporary GAD pair has the PAIR status.
The host path to the P-VOL of the temporary GAD pair is offline.
The host path to the S-VOL of the temporary GAD pair is online.

Suspend the temporary GAD pair by specifying the S-VOL.
Command example:

pairsplit -g oraHA01 -RS -IH2
```

Verify that the temporary GAD pair was suspended.

Verify the pair status of the target GAD pair.

After the temporary GAD pair is suspended by specifying the S-VOL and the copy operation for the target GAD pair is complete, the target GAD pair is migrated from the COPY to PAIR status.
