  1. Recover from the failure in the remote path.
  2. Verify the pair status of the source GAD pair.
    Command example:
    pairdisplay –g oraHA00 –fcxe –IH0
    Group PairVol(L/R) (Port#,TID, LU),Seq#, LDEV#.P/S,
    Status,Fence,%, P-LDEV# M CTG JID AP EM E-Seq# E-LDEV# R/W

  3. Perform either of the following recovery procedures depending on the pair status (I/O mode).
    • If the pair status (I/O mode) of the P-VOL of the source GAD pair is PSUE(Local), continue data migration using the procedure described in Suspending the source GAD pair by specifying the P-VOL.
    • If the pair status (I/O mode) of the S-VOL of the source GAD pair is SSWS(Local):
      1. Resynchronize the source GAD pair by specifying the S-VOL.
        Command example:
        pairresync –g oraHA00 -swaps –IH1
      2. Wait until the copy operation for the source GAD pair is complete, and then verify that the pair status has changed to PAIR.
        Command example:
        pairdisplay –g oraHA00 –fcxe –IH1
        Group PairVol(L/R) (Port#,TID, LU),Seq#, LDEV#.P/S,
        Status,Fence,%, P-LDEV# M CTG JID AP EM E-Seq# E-LDEV#

        oraHA00 dev00(R) (CL1-C-0, 0, 0)422222 2222.S-VOL PAIR

        D N D
        oraHA00 dev00(L) (CL1-C-0, 0, 0)411111 1111.P-VOL PAIR

After performing the procedure, continue data migration using the procedure described in Suspending the source GAD pair by specifying the P-VOL. However, in the configuration of this disaster recovery, the S-VOL of the source GAD pair shares the LDEV with the P-VOL of the temporary GAD pair. Therefore, take the host path to the P-VOL of the source GAD pair offline, and then suspend the source GAD pair by specifying the S-VOL during the procedure described in Suspending the source GAD pair by specifying the P-VOL.
