Assign the LDEV created by following the procedure in Creating an S-VOL to a namespace on the NVM subsystem created by following the procedure in (6) Creating an NVM subsystem. For more information, see the Provisioning Guide.
-
Specify an NVM subsystem ID of (1) and a namespace ID of (1) to define a
namespace for the S-VOL (0x4444).
The namespace ID (ID specified with the
-ns_id option) must be the same as the ID of a namespace to be defined as the P-VOL. A
GAD pair cannot be created if the namespace ID differs between the P-VOL and the S-VOL.
raidcom add namespace -nvm_subsystem_id 1 -ldev_id 0x4444 -ns_id 1 -
request_id auto -IH1
REQID: 100
Note: A maximum of 65,280 request IDs can be assigned to one storage system. If there is no available request ID, the command fails with EX_IDEXHA. If that occurs, see the description of the function of request IDs in the Command Control Interface Command Reference and release request IDs.
- Specify the request ID that was displayed in step 1, and check the error information about the CCI configuration command that is performed asynchronously. Verify that the value in the Description column is a hyphen (-).
raidcom get command_status -request_id 100 -IH1
